Shipping to the United States
Natural Emeralds, Shipped Certified to the United States
International shipping shouldn't mean less certainty — here's exactly what to expect buying natural emerald from India as a US customer.
Buying a gemstone from an India-based seller can feel like it adds risk for US buyers — a longer shipping distance, an unfamiliar legal jurisdiction, a certificate from a lab report you can’t walk into a local office to double-check. Here’s how we address each of those directly.
Certification you can verify without leaving home
Every stone we sell ships with a GIA, IGI, or GRS certificate, and all three labs offer free online report-verification tools accessible from anywhere, including the US. This means you’re not relying on trust in us specifically — you can independently confirm the stone’s stated weight, measurements, and treatment level yourself before finalizing anything. See our Certification Guide for exactly how to do this.
Shipping, customs, and delivery timelines
Orders to the US ship via insured international courier (FedEx or DHL Express) and typically arrive within 3–6 business days after dispatch. As with any international gemstone import, US Customs may assess duty on the declared value — this is determined by US customs policy, not by us, and we always declare accurate values on shipping paperwork. See our full Shipping Policy for complete details.
Returns work the same way regardless of distance
Our 7-day return policy applies identically to US orders — if a stone doesn’t suit you, or doesn’t match its certificate, you have the same return rights as an Indian buyer. For US returns, we cover or reimburse standard tracked return shipping; see our Return & Refund Policy for specifics.

Questions From the United States Buyers
Will I owe customs duty on an emerald shipped to the US?
Possibly — loose gemstones are dutiable goods, and US Customs and Border Protection may assess duty based on declared value. We declare accurate invoice values on all customs paperwork; the exact duty rate depends on current US tariff schedules at the time of import.
Is a certificate from an Indian-sourced stone valid for US insurance purposes?
Yes — GIA, IGI, and GRS certificates are internationally recognized regardless of where the stone was purchased, and US insurers and appraisers accept them for valuation purposes just as they would for a domestically purchased stone.
