About EmeraldVault
A Gemstone Business Built on One Rule: Certify Everything.
EmeraldVault exists because buying an emerald online is, for most people, an act of trust in someone they've never met. Our job is to make that trust well-placed — through independent certification, plain-language education, and a return policy that puts the risk back on us, not you.
How We Work
We Don't Hold Inventory — We Source to Order, Deliberately
Most online gemstone sellers photograph a fixed inventory and sell what's on the shelf. We take a different approach: when you order a stone, we source it against your exact requirement — carat weight, origin, budget, and purpose — from a small number of dealer partners we've worked with for years in Jaipur, and through them, back to cutting centres in Colombia, Zambia, and Panjshir.
The advantage to you is choice: instead of settling for whatever happens to be in a fixed catalogue, you get a stone matched to your actual brief. The stone is independently lab-certified before it ships, so the sourcing model never becomes an excuse for looser standards — if anything, it's the opposite, because we're accountable for a specific stone rather than an average of many.
We're transparent about this model with anyone who asks directly, and we think it's a better way to sell a product this personal — but functionally, what matters to you is the same regardless: a certified stone, accurately described, delivered insured, returnable within 7 days.

Our Standards
What We Check Before a Stone Ever Reaches Checkout
Independent Certification
Every stone above 0.5 carats is certified by GIA, IGI, or GRS — never an in-house or dealer-issued report. We do not sell uncertified stones as "natural" without this independent backing.
Treatment Disclosure
Emerald oiling is standard industry practice and not a defect, but it must be disclosed. Every listing states the exact treatment (minor, moderate, or none) as stated on the lab report.
Accurate Photography
We photograph representative stones under D65 daylight-balanced lighting and disclose when a listing image is illustrative rather than the exact physical stone, until our full photographed catalogue is live.
Fair Pricing
Our pricing reflects origin, treatment, carat, and clarity — the same variables a gemologist would price against — not inflated "discount" theatre.
Vetted Dealer Network
We work with a small number of dealer partners audited for ethical sourcing practices, rather than an anonymous marketplace of suppliers.
Real Return Rights
7 days, no interrogation. If our description doesn't match the certificate, we cover return shipping too.
Why It Matters
Emerald Is One of the Most Misrepresented Gemstones Online
Emerald has among the highest rates of undisclosed treatment and origin misrepresentation of any commercial gemstone, largely because minor oiling is so widespread that some sellers stop mentioning it at all — technically true, practically misleading.
We built EmeraldVault's entire content library — the Emerald Guide, our certification guide covering treatment disclosure, and the certification explainer — specifically so you don't have to take our word for any of this. Read the certificate. Ask the lab. Compare our disclosure against a competitor's listing. We'd rather you buy from us because you checked, not because you trusted a logo.
Have a Question We Haven't Answered Here?
Whether it's about a specific stone, a certification detail, or how we handle astrology-specific requirements, we respond personally — not via a ticketing bot.
