Terms of Service

The ground rules for buying from EmeraldVault and using this website.

Last updated: July 2026

By placing an order or using emeraldvault.in, you agree to the terms below. They’re written to be read, not skimmed past — please do read them, particularly the sections on pricing, certification, and dispute resolution.

1. Who we are

EmeraldVault Gemstones (“EmeraldVault”) is a gemstone retail business operating emeraldvault.in, registered in India. Stones are sourced from vetted third-party dealers on a per-order basis and are not held as walk-in retail inventory; this does not affect the certification, warranty, or return rights described elsewhere on this site.

2. Product descriptions and imagery

We describe every stone as accurately as its lab certificate and our own inspection allow. Because natural emeralds are individual objects, minor variation between on-screen photography and the physical stone (due to display calibration, lighting, and photographic limitations) is expected and is not, by itself, grounds for a defect claim — the governing reference is always the independent lab certificate shipped with your stone, not the product photo.

Illustrative graphics used for educational content (guides, cut diagrams) are stylized representations and not photographs of a specific stone for sale.

3. Pricing and payment

  • All prices are listed in Indian Rupees (₹) unless a currency switcher shows otherwise, and are inclusive of applicable GST for Indian orders.
  • Prices for natural gemstones fluctuate with market and dealer sourcing costs; prices shown at the time of checkout are the prices that apply — we do not honour prices shown on a page you visited earlier if the listing has since updated.
  • Full payment is required before a stone is sourced and dispatched, except where we’ve agreed a deposit arrangement with you in writing for a custom sourcing request.
  • Obvious pricing errors (a decimal-point or system glitch producing an implausible price) are not binding; we will contact you to offer the corrected price or a full refund if you’ve already paid.

4. Certification claims

Certification (GIA, IGI, GRS, or other named labs) refers to an independent lab report issued for the specific stone you receive, referencing its measurements and characteristics. We do not alter, forge, or “match” certificates to different stones. If you have reason to doubt a certificate’s authenticity, contact the issuing lab directly using the report number — we encourage this and will assist with verification.

5. Astrological and religious claims

Guidance on gemstone selection for astrological purposes (weight, finger, day of wearing, energizing rituals) reflects commonly followed Vedic astrology conventions and is provided for informational purposes. We are a gemstone retailer, not a licensed astrologer; for a personal astrological recommendation, please consult a qualified astrologer. We make no guarantee of astrological, spiritual, or health outcomes from wearing any gemstone.

6. Shipping, returns, and warranty

Governed by our separate Shipping Policy and Return & Refund Policy, both incorporated into these Terms by reference.

7. Intellectual property

Site content — photography, illustrations, guide text, and the EmeraldVault name and logo — is owned by EmeraldVault or licensed to us, and may not be reproduced commercially without written permission. You’re welcome to share links and quote short excerpts with attribution.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, EmeraldVault’s liability for any claim relating to a purchase is limited to the amount paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including but not limited to loss of an astrological muhurat window, event date, or resale expectation, except where such liability cannot be excluded under Indian consumer protection law.

9. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. For Indian consumers, disputes may be raised through the National Consumer Helpline or the appropriate Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission. For all buyers, we ask that you contact us directly first — support@emeraldvault.in — as the overwhelming majority of issues are resolved faster this way than through formal escalation.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; the “last updated” date above reflects the current version. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
