Shipping Policy
Every emerald ships insured, packaged discreetly, and tracked door to door — here's exactly how it works.

How we ship
Because each emerald is sourced to order rather than pulled from a walk-in showroom, dispatch begins once your stone has been quality-checked against its lab certificate. From that point, every order — loose stone or set piece — travels insured against loss or damage for its full invoice value, in tamper-evident packaging that gives no external indication of its contents.
We ship via reputed international courier partners (currently FedEx and DHL Express for shipments outside India, and a combination of insured courier and registered speed post within India for higher-value stones). You will always receive a tracking number by email and SMS/WhatsApp the moment your parcel is dispatched.
Processing time
| Order type | Quality check & dispatch |
|---|---|
| In-stock certified stones | 1–2 business days |
| Made-to-request stones (specific carat, origin, or budget shortlist) | 3–7 business days, depending on dealer sourcing |
| Custom-set jewellery (ring, pendant) | 10–18 business days |
We will always email you if a request is likely to take longer than the ranges above — for rare requests (large untreated Colombian stones above 5 carats, for instance), sourcing the right stone can occasionally take longer, and we would rather tell you upfront than rush a decision on a piece you’ll own for life.
Delivery timelines by destination
| Destination | Typical transit after dispatch |
|---|---|
| Mumbai, Pune, Delhi NCR, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai | 1–2 business days |
| Rest of India | 2–4 business days |
| United States, Canada | 3–6 business days |
| United Kingdom, European Union | 3–6 business days |
| Australia | 4–7 business days |
| United Arab Emirates & GCC | 2–5 business days |
These are courier transit estimates, not guarantees — customs inspection (see below) can add time outside our control, particularly for first-time importers.
Customs, duties, and taxes
Within India: GST is included in your displayed price. There are no additional charges on delivery.
International orders: Loose natural gemstones are dutiable goods in most countries. Depending on your destination, your local customs authority may charge import duty, VAT, or GST on arrival, which is collected by the courier before final delivery. These charges are set by your government, not by EmeraldVault, and we are not able to predict or waive them. We declare accurate invoice values on all customs paperwork — we will not under-declare a stone’s value, as this is illegal and voids your insurance coverage in transit.
If you are ordering for astrological or religious use and are unsure how your country treats gemstone imports, email us at hello@emeraldvault.in before you order and we’ll share what we know from prior shipments to your region.
Signature and verification on delivery
Every shipment above ₹50,000 in declared value requires an OTP or signature confirmation matching the name on the order. This is a deliberate anti-fraud step — please make sure someone authorized is available to receive the parcel, or arrange redelivery with the courier directly using your tracking number.
We strongly recommend inspecting your stone against its certificate before signing for delivery wherever the courier allows it, and photographing the sealed package on arrival. If a parcel arrives visibly tampered with or damaged, please refuse delivery and contact us immediately rather than accepting it.
Address changes and failed delivery
Address changes are possible only before dispatch — email hello@emeraldvault.in with your order number as soon as possible. Once a parcel has shipped, redirection depends entirely on the courier’s policies for insured, signature-required shipments, which we cannot always control.
If a delivery fails after three courier attempts, the parcel is returned to us; we will contact you to arrange reshipment, which may incur a second shipping charge for international orders.
Questions before you order
If you have a delivery deadline — a wedding date, a muhurat, a gifting occasion — tell us in your enquiry and we will confirm honestly whether we can meet it before you pay, rather than after.
