Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.

This policy explains how EmeraldVault Gemstones (“EmeraldVault”, “we”, “us”) handles personal data for visitors and customers of emeraldvault.in, in plain language rather than dense legal boilerplate. If anything here is unclear, email hello@emeraldvault.in and we’ll explain it in one line.
What we collect
Information you give us directly:
- Name, email, phone/WhatsApp number, and shipping address when you place an order or submit an enquiry
- Payment confirmation details from our payment processor (we do not store your full card number — see Payments, below)
- Any details you volunteer in an enquiry form, such as budget, occasion, or astrological requirements
Information collected automatically:
- IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited, via Google Analytics 4
- Session recordings and heatmap interactions via Microsoft Clarity, used to understand where visitors get stuck on the site
- Ad-click and conversion data via Meta (Facebook) Pixel, if you arrive from a Facebook or Instagram ad
We do not collect biometric data, and we do not sell personal data to third-party data brokers.
Why we collect it

Cookies
EmeraldVault uses cookies for three categories of purpose:
- Essential — remembering your dark/light mode preference, keeping a form submission from double-firing. These cannot be disabled without breaking core site function.
- Analytics — Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity, to understand traffic and behaviour in aggregate.
- Advertising — Meta Pixel, to measure ad performance and show relevant retargeting ads.
You can block analytics and advertising cookies at any time through your browser settings, or via any cookie consent banner shown on your first visit from a region where consent is required (EU/UK/California). Blocking these cookies does not affect your ability to browse or purchase.
Payments
Card and UPI payments are processed by PCI-DSS-compliant payment gateways. EmeraldVault’s servers never receive or store your full card number, CVV, or UPI PIN — that information goes directly to the payment processor over an encrypted connection.
Who we share data with
- Courier partners (FedEx, DHL, India Post/registered courier) — name, address, phone, for delivery only
- Payment processors — transaction data required to process and reconcile payment
- Independent gem labs (GIA, IGI, GRS) — only stone data for certification, never your personal information
- Analytics providers (Google, Microsoft, Meta) — aggregated behavioural data as described above
We do not share your data with data brokers, and we do not sell mailing lists.
How long we keep data
Order and invoice records are retained for 8 years to comply with Indian tax law (GST record-keeping requirements). Enquiry and newsletter data is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion, whichever comes first.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to certain processing (such as marketing emails).
- India: under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can request access to or erasure of your data by emailing hello@emeraldvault.in.
- EU/UK visitors: GDPR gives you the right to access, rectify, erase, or port your data, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
- California residents: the CCPA gives you the right to know what data is collected and to request deletion; EmeraldVault does not sell personal information as defined under the CCPA.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@emeraldvault.in with the subject line “Data Request” — we respond within 30 days.
Children’s privacy
EmeraldVault is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from minors. Purchases require the buyer to be a legal adult.
Changes to this policy
If we materially change how we handle your data, we’ll update the “last updated” date above and, for significant changes, notify newsletter subscribers by email.
