Under-buying the prescribed weight to save budget defeats the purpose — a smaller certified stone in the right weight class beats a larger uncertified one every time.

Why the certificate matters astrologically

Astrologers consistently require two things a lab report documents in writing: that the stone is a natural emerald (identification line: "Natural Emerald (Beryl)"), and that treatment is limited (look for "minor" or "insignificant").
